Who is behind SABO concept?

SABO concept is a brand from Poltava, Ukraine. All play food items are designed and handcrafted there, combining minimalism with fine details.

What makes the play food special?

Attention to detail: cake slices consist of several layers, the pizza is topped with tomato, mushroom and arugula, the lemonade has a removable straw. And due to the natural wood grain, no two sets are exactly alike.

What material is the play food made of?

Made from linden and birch wood, painted with water-based paints and carefully sanded – pleasant in small hands and robust enough for daily play shop use.

Why is pretend play with food so valuable?

While cooking, serving, and selling, children practice language, numeracy, and social interaction– casually, through free play. From tea parties with stuffed animals to pizza delivery for the whole family.

From what age are the sets suitable?

You can find the recommended age for each product. Sets with smaller parts are generally suitable from 3 years old– and then accompany role-play for many years.

Do the sets fit our play kitchen and our play shop?

Yes – the play food items have child-friendly, realistic proportionsand can be combined with common children's kitchens, toy shops, and doll's tableware – even mixed across different brands.
