Description

HEVEA nipple shields, made from 100% natural rubber, are a gentle aid in special breastfeeding situations. They were designed to make breastfeeding as comfortable as possible for both you and your baby.

The round shape adapts to the breast and can be rotated 360°, allowing the three flow holes to be positioned flexibly. The soft natural rubber material quickly warms to body temperature and feels pleasantly natural – for you and your baby's delicate gums.

Like all HEVEA products, the nipple shields are made from pure natural rubber – eco-friendly, low in harmful substances, and a sustainable companion in everyday family life.

For questions regarding application and suitable size, we recommend consulting with your lactation consultant or midwife.

Application

It is recommended to use nipple shields for the first time under the guidance of a lactation consultant to ensure correct application and to alleviate any uncertainties.

  • Preparation:Wash hands thoroughly. Lightly moisten the nipple shield so that it adheres better.
  • Application:Gently turn the tip of the shield slightly outwards (do not turn it completely inside out), place it over the nipple, and press down the edges.
  • Positioning:Ensure that the cutout for the baby's nose is correctly positioned to avoid preventing skin contact.
  • Check:The child should grasp a lot of breast tissue. Make sure the baby's lips are everted.

Special features of Hevea/natural rubber:

  • Inspection:Before each use, check the material for cracks or wear by pulling it in all directions.
  • Replacement:Replace nipple shields immediately at the first signs of damage (e.g., stickiness, cracks).
